George Campanellas has extensive experience in attracting and facilitating foreign investment and driving demand to locations and projects. During his tenure as the CEO at Invest Cyprus he designed and implemented new strategies for attracting international technology companies and investment which led Cyprus to gain 50 places in the Global FDI Index and rank 3rd globally in the 2022 Post Pandemic Recovery Index. 

During his career he worked directly with international groups supporting the closure of significant investments in multi-billion projects in Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Real Estate, Hospitality, Education, Healthcare and Technology. In 2021 George was elected as the Director of Eastern Europe at the Board of Directors at the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).
