The Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) is a membership organisation representing over 3,000 translators and interpreters across the UK and internationally. Members work in over 250 language combinations from English to French and German and Spanish, to less common combinations such as Arabic to German and Norwegian to Danish.

Translation and interpreting touch all sectors of the economy and research has shown that SMEs increase their export sales, growth and profits by investing in language services. Indeed, SMEs embracing language capabilities are 30% more successful in exporting than those that do not. But just because you know a language, doesn’t mean you can translate or interpret everything. Our members work in 189 different specialisms, including finance, cyber security, public health, football, environmental campaigning and tourism.
